METRINCO M142S is a modern portable device for quick and accurate measurement of the volumetric moisture content of soil, sand, and bulk materials. The METRINCO M142S is based on the conductometric method of moisture measurement, which is based on the dependence of the electrical resistance of the soil on its moisture content.

The rugged housing and ergonomic design of the moisture tester ensure high-quality measurements and long-term operation in field and industrial conditions. The device is equipped with an intuitive Ukrainian-language interface, a large dot matrix LCD display for easy reading, 4 function buttons and a 165 mm long penetrating probe.

The device's internal memory contains 3 groups of soil measurement types (sandy soil, chernozem, peat), but thanks to the availability of user calibrations, the device can be adjusted to any type of soil (4 additional groups).

Built-in functions such as holding the measurement result on the screen (HOLD), battery charge control (the device signals the battery discharge with the corresponding image on the display), screen backlight (switched on/off by pressing the button) and automatic power off after 5 minutes of inactivity greatly facilitate the user's work.

The METRINCO M142S soil moisture meter is widely used in various agricultural sectors (agriculture, horticulture, vegetable growing, berry growing, etc.), to control the soil moisture level in greenhouses, greenhouses, hotbeds and on open ground, to control drip irrigation of plants; in hydrology to determine the amount of groundwater.
