pH/ORP/conductivity/TDS/salinity meter METRINCO LA802PC with LA80BS base (magnetic stirrer and stand)

METRINCO LA802PC is a portable LA-800 series multiparameter meter for measuring pH, ORP, conductivity, TDS, salinity and temperature of aqueous solutions. Supplied with a PG-02 pH electrode, a CD-2 conductivity cell (K = 1), a separate TPLA-1 temperature probe, buffer and standard solutions. The set also includes the LA80BS laboratory base with a magnetic stirrer and electrode stand.

For institutional and industrial laboratories, water treatment, production control, teaching and research laboratories — when pH, ORP and conductivity are needed in one instrument. Battery power also allows work away from the lab bench. Suitability for a specific method depends on that method’s requirements.

LA802PC features

• pH. Measuring range 1.00 to 14.00 pH, maximum permissible absolute error ±0.05 pH (per the type-examination certificate); display resolution 0.01 pH. 1- to 3-point calibration from the buffer set 1.68, 4.01, 7.00, 10.01, 12.45; after calibration the meter shows the electrode slope (PTS), which helps detect a worn electrode in good time.
• ORP. Range −1999 to 2000 mV, error ±(2 mV + 1 digit). ORP measurement requires an OG-2 or OG-3 ORP electrode, which is ordered separately.
• Conductivity, TDS and salinity. With the CD-2 cell (K = 1): four subranges from 1.0 µS/cm to 200.0 mS/cm with automatic unit switching; error ±2.5 % of the upper limit of the subrange. TDS and salinity are calculated from conductivity; the TDS conversion factor is user-defined. Calibration points 0, 84, 1413 µS/cm, 12.88 and 80.0 mS/cm, plus air calibration to set zero.
• Cells with K = 0.1, 1 and 10. The cell constant is set in the menu. Rated metrological characteristics apply to the supplied CD-2 cell (K = 1); alternative cells are selected by technical support.
• Separate temperature probe. The TPLA-1 measures temperature from 0 to 110 °C with ±0.5 °C error and provides automatic temperature compensation from 5 to 60 °C; temperature offset adjustment ±3.0 °C.
• BNC for pH and ORP electrodes. Electrodes connect via a BNC connector, and the separate temperature probe allows electrodes without a built-in temperature sensor to be used. Therefore a compatible electrode from another manufacturer can be selected if needed — please check the compatibility of a specific model with technical support.
• Replaceable sensors and consumables. Sensors are replaced separately from the meter; calibration solutions can be ordered separately.
• Convenient operation: auto-hold of a stable reading in pH mode, MAX/MIN mode, splash-protected keypad, backlit 128×64 graphic LCD, built-in stand for bench use.
• Battery operation. Powered by four built-in 10440 (3.7 V) rechargeable batteries, charged via USB Type-C or on the LA80BS base; auto power-off adjustable from 5 to 600 s.
• Portable and laboratory use. On the LA80BS base the meter serves as a laboratory workstation with magnetic stirring; without the base it is a portable meter.

Data logging and PC connection

The meter lets you view the last 60 manual records (Recall mode).

Readings with date and time are written to an SD card (FAT32): manually with the STO/Enter key, or automatically by timer at intervals from 1 to 600 s. Records are saved as Excel files in the MANUAL and AUTO folders. An SD card is not included.

Via USB Type-C the meter sends readings to a PC in real time. The Windows software lets you set a sampling interval of 1–600 s, view a chart and save data to an Excel file. The software is provided on request.

LA80BS laboratory base

The LA80BS base is auxiliary equipment for LA-800 series meters. The magnetic stirrer has speed adjustment and 30, 60, 120 min or continuous modes; the stand with a clamp holds the electrodes above the sample; the meter can be charged on the base. The base is not covered by the meter’s type-examination certificate and does not change its metrological characteristics.

Conformity assessment and calibration

Status: without a completed metrological conformity assessment. The LA-800 analyzer type is approved by type-examination certificate UA.TR.001 29-26 of 06.08.2026 (SE “Ukrmetrteststandart”). If the instrument is later needed in a legally regulated field, it can be handed over to the manufacturer to arrange the module F procedure. Arranging the procedure separately after purchase costs more than buying the CA version straight away.

Calibration in a laboratory accredited to DSTU EN ISO/IEC 17025 is available as an additional order and is not included in the price.

An OG-2 or OG-3 ORP electrode is ordered separately. A USB cable and a power adapter for the meter are not included. PC software is provided on request. In the invoice and delivery note, the meter and the LA80BS base are listed as separate items.

Warranty and service

Warranty: 24 months for the meter and 24 months for the LA80BS base, 3 months for electrodes and sensors; terms are confirmed by the warranty card. The warranty does not cover consumables — buffer and standard solutions, electrolyte, membrane caps. Warranty and post-warranty service is provided by the manufacturer, NSF OTAVA LLC. Technical support in Ukraine helps select electrodes, advises on setup and maintenance, and helps select spare sensors and consumables.
